Through a flurry of acquisitions, Autodesk had assembled a plethora of 3D software solutions, and wanted to consolidate them all into a single integrated platform in the cloud, inspiring siloed workforces to come together as one.
The ethos of the short film we were hired to produce was around people coming together, but rather than create a single piece of content, we needed to create a design system that could be reused repeatedly to create additional assets over time.
The highlight of Autodesk's event promoting their new cloud solution would be a short film we produced, depicting an entire universe of fictional characters navigating within a 3D environment.
We architected an entire short film within Unreal Engine, featuring a bunch of fascinating characters, all fully animated with facial motion capture and full voice over recording. Within this futuristic 3D environment, the promise of Autodesk's new integrated solution came to life in exciting and dynamic ways.
Although we only had 1 month to build and launch both the film and the 3D environment in which it lived, we were able to execute flawlessly and provide Autodesk with a unique piece of content that perfectly represented where the organization was heading.
