At CES 2024, our mandate from partner Freeman on behalf of AMD was to motivate manufacturers and distributors to level up their tech stack through AMD's end-to-end AI infrastructure. This year, we'd be producing a 20-minute "movie" featuring execs addressing a global audience.
Since this event was online only we had to collaborate with Freeman to enrapture a live-streaming audience without the benefit of a communal gathering spot. The video would showcase technically-dense subject matter, with many talking heads on stage. Making matters more difficult, we only had a 3-week production timeline and ambitious technical requirements, including XR on green screen with CGI.
Simply put, our strategy was to follow the Freeman concept and compliment the executives speaking on stage with powerful graphical elements that continued to center the audience and maintain their attention.
With huge scale, the difficulty is in cohesion - managing across static, video, motion, animation, sound, color, live production, editorial and technology. Our global creative team worked in 24-hour shifts, 7 days a week, from before Christmas until after New years.
The video was executed flawlessly, and press coverage was universally positive, with Forbes exclaiming, "It appears AMD has the hardware muscle at the ready to take on its primary rivals NVIDIA and Intel."
