Role Overview
Mile80 is seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our team in a project-based capacity, with the potential to transition to a full-time role in the future. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual storytelling of our projects. Your expertise in video editing will be pivotal in delivering high-quality content that captivates our audience and fulfills the creative vision of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in working with RAW/Log files.
- Use Adobe After Effects at least at a medium skill level for special effects and motion graphics.
- Master Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve, our main video editing tools..
- Sound design knowledge to ensure audio complements the visuals effectively.
- Proficiency to mastery in color correctionÂ
- Choose and use stock video effectively, knowing good from bad footage.
- Easily add graphics and text to enrich visual storytelling.
- Think like a creative director, contributing to the project's overall creative vision and narrative.
- Apply VFX when needed for visual enhancements and special effects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong (commercial) portfolio of previous work
- A deep understanding of music, sound design, pacing, and timing in video editing.
- VFX skills at least the basics (screen replacement, greenscreen, track footage)
- Creative mindset and the aspiration to contribute to the overall creative direction
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe After Effects
- Familiarity with working on RAW/Log files and color correction techniques
