Role Overview

Mile80 has cracked the code to efficient media production giving us the opportunity to scale aggressively.  We seek a dynamic and results-oriented Head of New Business Development to join our team. This is an executive individual contributor role with significant room for advancement.  Reporting directly to the founder and Executive Creative Director, Ryan Sheffer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, expanding our client base, and enhancing Mile80’s presence in the creative media and events production industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development and Sales Execution: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations within the creative media industry. Develop and execute strategies to expand Mile80's client base and revenue streams and achieve sales targets. Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling sales propositions and ensure exceptional client experiences
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities. Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential challenges
  • Client Relationship Management: Create a sales process with automation and implement a first-gen CRM solution to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure client satisfaction to foster long-term partnerships
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Mile80's creative and production teams to align business development efforts with the company’s creative vision. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the organization
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and analyses on sales performance, business development activities, and market trends. Present findings to the executive team and suggest actionable strategies based on data-driven insights

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus
  • Proven track record of success in B2B NEW BUSINESS business development with 6-figure deal sizes.  Sales experience in the creative media industry, with a focus on film production, creative direction, animation, or design is a plus
  • Strong understanding of creative media production processes and technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
