Art Director

Mile 80 is seeking a talented and versatile Art Director to join our creative team in a project-based capacity, with the potential to transition to a full-time role in the future. As the Art Director, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and shaping the creative direction of our projects, ensuring that they are aesthetically cohesive and engaging. You will guide our fellow artists, including editors, animators, and 3D artists, in crafting compelling designs for videos that align with our clients' branding and briefs.

• Understand and translate client requests into creative ideas that match their brand and objectives.
• Display top-tier design and illustration skills to set the visual bar for our projects.
• Emphasize user-friendly design while being mindful of character illustrations and adaptability.
• Create engaging stories and storyboards that make creative concepts come to life and captivate viewers.
• Be flexible in adopting different artistic styles as needed for each project.
• Use past experience to design for videos, recognizing the unique demands of visual storytelling in this medium.
• Develop mood boards and explore brand visuals to guide our projects and keep a consistent look.
• Serve as the visual guide for the creative team, ensuring that all project elements match the chosen style.
• Establish and uphold the project's artistic style across the entire creative team.

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• A robust portfolio showcasing your design and illustration skills, with an emphasis on video-related projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A passion for creativity and a keen eye for detail.
